Every year, Music Changing Lives presents The Changing Lives Showcase, a competition to teach youth how they can live united through music and art. The performance creates an environment that provides empowering arts experiences that attracts youth from diverse backgrounds and allows them to develop meaningful bonds and respect for one another.  The young artists are instilled with the message, “Together we can be the change we would like to see in our community.”

This year's competition on May 13th was between Edgemont vs. Butterfield and Palm vs. Mt. View and special showcases featuring Bayside Community Day School in the Moreno Valley Unified School District.  Students in grades 1st-12th will submit their artworks and performance pieces to compete to see who's the best at music and art. Students can enter in four categories: Musical Instruments, Vocal Performance, Dance, and Visual Arts, while the schools compete for Overall Performance.
